United Way of Ventura County is proud to have accepted the Connecting Kids to Coverage Challenge.  We are working locally and with our state association, United Ways of CA, to see that eligible but unenrolled children in our community get connected to the health coverage they need.  We support statewide advocacy efforts to promote simplification of enrollment and renewal process and streamlining of eligibility determinations. We support our local 2-1-1 center so that call specialists have all the information they need to direct families to Med-Cal & Healthly Families and other health care choices available in our community.  We support the web-based Ventura County Self Sufficiency Calculator that provides information and eligiblity criteria for Medi-Cal and Healthly Families.
