The Oklahoma Health Care Authority developed an electronic newborn enrollment application to expedite and automatically enroll newborns in SoonerCare within the hospital setting. The primary goals were to shorten the enrollment timeframe, facilitate the selection of a PCP/medical home, promptly connect the newborns with care, and enable hospitals and primary care providers to bill right away for care that they provide to SoonerCare newborns.
